Leserreise von KANU geht 2009 nach Ontario

Neuer Billigflieger nach Kanada

[update] grounded! Wie im Kommentar von Windrose beschrieben, die Flüge finden nicht statt. Leider, denn ich hatte mich schon damit angefreundet, in diesem Sommer via London nach Halifax bzw. nach St. John zu fliegen. Schade [/update]

Der Internetanbieter GoTravel direct bietet für den Sommerflugplan 2009 von London für die Flughäfen Winnipeg, St. Johns, Toronto, Halifax und Montreal in Kanada Direktflüge an.

Reisebericht: Atlantik-Kanada

Da wandern 2 nach Calgary aus und verbringen Ihren Urlaub nicht etwa in den Rocky Mountains, oder etwa in Deutschland. Nein, sie fahren nach Atlantik Kanada. Volles Programm: Nova-Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI und Newfoundland.

Das schöne an Ihrer Reise: Sie nehmen uns mit. Mit Eindrücken in Ihrem Webtagebuch und wunderschönen Bildern. Viele Stationen habe ich schon selbst besucht, neue Ziele gefunden. Ein etwas längerer Abstecher nach Newfoundland ( bisher kenne ich nur St.John ) steht schon auf meiner nächsten Reiseliste.

Eine Passage hat mich aber stark verwundert: “Von der Küste aus konnten wir mehrere Orca Familien und einen Buckelwal beobachten”. Seit ihr euch da wirklich sicher, Orcas vor Cape Breton? Buckelwale sind häufig vor Cape Breton sichtbar. Aber Orcas und dann noch im Familienverband? Orcas sind sehr selten vor Cape Breton zu finden. Meistens nur als Einzelgänger. Ihr habt von daher sehr großes Glück gehabt ( ich warte schon seit 5 Jahren darauf ) oder es war dann doch eine Pilot Whale Gruppe, denn diese sieht man sehr oft vor Cape Breton.
